Renovigo Chemicals joins Cleantech Open Cohort 2025 at National Academy in Los Angeles

Renovigo Chemicals made its mark at the Cleantech Open National Academy West this week, with Chief Scientific Officer Molly Adams and Chief Executive Officer Jeremiah Piper representing the company among nearly 100 cleantech innovators at USC Hotel in Los Angeles.

The three-day intensive bootcamp, running May 30-June 1, served as the kickoff for Cleantech Open's 2025 Accelerator Program, which welcomed 97 early-stage companies from 83 cities across 21 U.S. states and 6 countries. Renovigo joins a diverse cohort where 12% of participants are focused on chemicals innovation, positioning the company among peers developing breakthrough solutions for sustainable chemistry.

"This incredible event brought together trailblazing cleantech startups, visionary entrepreneurs, and forward-thinking investors—all united in their efforts to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future...” “We believe sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand—and events like the Cleantech Open continue to prove that the future of our planet depends on bold collaboration and visionary science."- Molly Adams

The National Academy West featured intensive programming including Business Model Canvas workshops, customer discovery training, pitch coaching, and fundraising panels. Notable speakers included Ellen Dux from USC's Office of Sustainability, Michael Eckhardt from Chasm Institute, and representatives from TCA Venture Group and StartEngine.

Ken Hayes, Executive Director of Cleantech Open, described the National Academy as "startup bootcamp" where entrepreneurs "meet their tribe and kickstart their journey toward commercialization and scale."

The 2025 cohort reflects the growing diversity in cleantech innovation, with 69% of executive teams including at least one BIPOC member and 50% featuring female or non-binary leadership. Over the next 12 weeks, Renovigo and fellow participants will engage in rigorous accelerator curriculum, refining business models and investor pitches ahead of regional judging. Top performers will advance to the Global Forum, scheduled for October 27-30 in San Jose, California.

Since 2005, Cleantech Open has helped more than 2,200 startups raise over $3 billion in funding, establishing itself as a critical catalyst for climate solutions and sustainable economic growth.
